State Team
The player selections have been made and were announced to those present at the trials on October 16th. The selection list is currently under embargo, and so cannot be reported here.

Thank you to all the players and volunteers who nominated. Remember, selections may change in cases of withdrawals, injuries, unavailabilities, etc, so players not named at the trials may still be selected at a later time.
Nationals Positions
State team selectors
There are 3 positions of State selector currently available. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Selection of the State team for State games leading into the end of year State carnival in Queensland
- Selection of the State squad to be sent to the State carnival in Queensland - to be ratified by the BCNSW board
- Liaising with the Team Manager and Team Therapist to gain the most out of players' performance
- Working closely with captain and vice-captain in building a strong team leading into the State carnival.
- Working closely with the Team Therapist in building a team training plan and fitness requirements that must be met by State players
- Working closely with the Team Therapist in building an off-season training schedule for players
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to the State carnival
- Other responsibilities as requested by the BCNSW board.
State Team Manager
There is 1 position available for State Team Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Managing all off field issues with State players, while the State is in attendance at the State carnival
- Working closely with State captain and vice-captain to select a daily team during carnival
- Organising travel arrangements for State players to attend the State carnival and while in attendance at the State carnival
- Organising accommodation for all State players while at the carnival
- Must be willing to meet own cost for travel, accommodation and expenses at the carnival in Queensland - 2011 - 2012
- Working closely with team selectors and Team Therapist in building a strong NSW team that will be sent to the State carnival
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to State carnival
- Other responsibilities as directed by the BCNSW board
State Team Therapist
There is one position available for Team Therapist. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Working closely with team selectors, captain & vice-captain in building an off-season training schedule for players
- Working closely with team selectors, captain & vice-captain in building a training and fitness plan for players to gain full performance out of players
- Working with the team in attending injury complaints and providing necessary rehabilitation
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to the State carnival
- Travel with the team to the 2011-2012 State carnival in Queensland
- As otherwise directed by the BCNSW board
Qualifications
- Must hold relevant Sports Medical certificates
- Must hold Current Senior First Aid certificate
Desirable
- some form of coaching certificate
Additional Information
BCNSW will cover the costs for the Team Therapist to -
- Travel with the team to Queensland
- All accommodation expenses while with the team in Queensland
- With receipts, all medical equipment required to fulfil their duties while with the team in Queensland and prior in the lead up to the State carnival to be held in Queensland
State Team Captain
There is one position available. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Leading the State team to the national championships in Queensland 2011 - 2012
- Working closely with State selectors, Team Manager, Team Therapist & Vice captain in building a strong team for the carnival
- Ensuring players are fulfilling requirements as set out by the Team Therapist & Team Manager
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to State carnival
- Must attend play at 85% of all association matches leading up to the State carnival
- Be responsible for all player issues while on the field
- Fulfil all Team Managers requirements while off the field in the State carnival
- Attend morning meeting during carnival to select a team daily
- Must be willing to meet own cost for travel, accommodation and expenses for the carnival in Queensland - 2011 - 2012
- As otherwise directed by the BCNSW board
State Team Vice Captain
There is one position available. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Leading the State team to the national championships in Queensland 2011 - 2012
- Working closely with State selectors, Team Manager, Team Therapist & Captain in building a strong team for the carnival
- Ensuring players are fulfilling requirements as set out by Team Therapist & Team Manager
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to the State carnival
- Must attend play at 85% of all association matches leading up to the State carnival
- Be responsible for all player issues while on the field
- Assist State Captains in all requirements as needed
- Must be willing to meet own cost for travel, accommodation and expenses for the carnival in Queensland - 2011 - 2012
- Attend morning meeting to select a daily team during carnival
- As otherwise directed by the BCNSW board
NSW players to attend State championships in Queensland 2011-2012
A team will be selected to attend the championships by the State team selectors and an initial squad will be selected to take part in State games & off season training
Requirements include, but are not limited to
- Must attend all State games and training sessions in the lead up to State carnival
- Must attend play at 85% of all association matches leading into the State carnival
- Fulfil any fitness/training requirements as directed by Team Therapist, Team Captain & Team Vice-captain
- Wear the NSW uniform with pride and give your best performance for each game
- Must be willing to meet own cost for travel, accommodation and expenses for the carnival in Queensland - 2011 - 2012
